biography

A native of Trieste, Italy, Fabio Poian is a London-based drummer and music director.

He has performed with a wide range of renowned artists including Deyaz, Izzy Bizu, Madeline The Person, Arturo Sandoval, Andrae Crouch, Stevie Bill, Melissa Manchester, and Clint Holmes, among many others.

As a Music Director, Fabio works with artists such as Gia Lily, Nora, Crossley, Kitty Montague, and Danny Wright.

In 2007, Fabio won the Under-18 Groove Section of Italy’s national “Drummer of Tomorrow” contest, organized by Mapex and hosted by Dom Famularo.

Two years later, he moved to the United States to study Music Performance at the Los Angeles Music Academy (now LA College of Music), training under world-class drummers including Joe Porcaro, Ralph Humphrey, Tony Inzalaco, Gary Ferguson, Aaron Serfaty, and Richie Gajate-Garcia.

After five successful years in the U.S., Fabio went on to play on luxury cruise liners, both as a sideman and later as Music Director, leading theater productions and guest entertainers’ shows.

Since relocating to London in 2017, Fabio has continued his career in one of the world’s most vibrant music hubs — directing and performing with a diverse range of artists both locally and on tour.

A passionate music producer, Fabio studied Music Production at Garnish School of Sound and now runs his own studio in London, where he continues to collaborate with artists and develop live productions.
